Maiestas rostriformis sp. nov.

Length. Male: 4.1mm.
Light brown. Vertex light yellow with six small, dark brown marks on anterior margin, brown longitudinal band midway between eye and midline on each side (Plate III: E); frontoclypeus with fuscous arcs. Pronotum light yellow with six brown longitudinal stripes (Plate III: E). Legs marked with dark brown. Forewing cells bordered fuscous (Plate III: E).
Forewing macropterous, inner anteapical cell open basally.
Male genitalia. Subgenital plate long, subtriangular, lateral margin almost straight, apex acute (Fig. 24 F); style, preapical lobe short and sharply angled, apophysis with preapical heel, laterally curved (Fig. 24 E); connective slightly longer than aedeagus, aedeagal shaft in lateral view broad basally, abruptly tapered at midlength to slim apex (Figs 24 C, 24D).
Material examined. Holotype: ɗ, China, Fujian Prov., Shouning, 30 July 2003, coll. Duan Yani (NWAFU).
Additional material. One female with data: China, Fujian Prov., Nanping, 6 August 2003, coll. Duan Yani (NWAFU).
Remarks. This species can be distinguished by the abruptly tapered shaft at midlength (Figs 24 C, 24D). The additional specimen is tentatively identified as this species. The hind margin of its seventh sternum has a distinctive v-shape median excavation (see Plate IV: I).
Etymology. The name of this species is based on the beaklike shape of the aedeagus in lateral view.
