Micropotamia ditissima sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Three pairs of frontal setae, 1st and 3rd pairs strong; acrostichal setae with 3–4 series of misaligned post-sutural setae; 2 supra-alar setae, 2 nd seta similar to prealar seta; 2 post-supra-alar setae; hind femur swollen, AV surface with 12 misaligned setae curved at apex, V surface with 5 misaligned setae curved at apex; posterior tibia on the AD surface with 3 median setae, apical seta 1.

Description. Male (holotype): length: body: 3.5 mm, wing: 3 mm. Paratypes: male: body length: 3–4 mm.

Coloration. Head. Fronto-orbital plate with black background with grayish pruinosity. Antenna brown. Arista brownish with base yellowish. Lunule brownish. Thorax with brownish gray pruinosity. Wing darkened on costal region. Legs brown. Fore tibia brown or yellowish. Mid-tibia brown.

Thorax. Intra-alar setae 1+2. Postpronotal lobe with 2–3 setae. Anepisternum with 6 setae. Katepisternal setae 1+2, with a setulose area.

Legs. Mid femur on AD surface with row of long and spaced setae up to basal half and 1 preapical seta, V surface with row of long and spaced setae at base; tibia on D surface with 1 preapical seta, PD surface without strong setae. Hind femur swollen, D surface with 2 preapical setae, PV surface with a series of misaligned and curved setae at apex on apical third, with 2 apical setae larger than the others; tibia on A with 1 apical seta, V surface with 1 apical seta, PV surface with 1 apical seta.

Abdomen. Fifth sternite prominent on anterior margin, concave on posterior margin with extensions forming an acute angle (Fig. 23). Terminalia. Cercal plate rounded externally on posterior margin, median notch deep, anterior margin with pointed extensions forming a 75-degree angle (Fig. 31). Surstyli with notch and curved towards center of cercal plate (Fig. 31). Phallus long and straight, rounded at apex, pregonite with sickle-shaped base, distiphallus with denticles on membrane (Fig. 39).

Etymology. The specific epithet ditissima refers to the abundance of setae in the swelling of the apical third of the femur (from Latin: ditissima = abundant).
