Micropotamia stellaria sp. nov.

Diagnosis. Fronto-orbital setae 4, 2nd and 4th pairs stronger; acrostichal setae in 4 or 5 misaligned rows; prealar seta shorter than background setae; supra-alar seta 1; 2 post-supra-alar setae; hind femur on PV surface with 3 strong setae on apical half; posterior tibia with 1 median seta on AD surface 1 preapical seta.
Description. Male (holotype): length: body: 3.5mm, wing: 3.5mm. Male paratypes: body length: 3–4 mm, wing length: 3–4 mm.
Coloration. Head. Black front-orbital plate with grayish pruinosity Antenna yellowish-brown, with grayish pruinosity. Arista brownish. Lunule brownish. Thorax black with pruinose stripe reaching dorsocentral area throughout scutum, presutural area of scutum without black stripes, scutellum with grayish brown pruinosity.
Thorax. Intra-alar setae 1+2. Postpronotal lobe with 2 setae. Anepisternum with 6 setae. Katepisternal setae 1+1, with setulose area.
Legs. Mid femur on AV surface with a row of long and spaced setae up to mid-femur, V surface with a row of spaced setae; tibia on D surface with 1 apical seta, PD surface with 1 seta on apical half. Hind femur not swollen, D surface with 1 preapical seta, V surface without strong setae, PV surface with 1 preapical seta, PD surface with 1 preapical seta; tibia on A surface with a row of long setae on basal third, V surface without strong setae, PV surface with long setae up to limit of the apical third.
Abdomen. Fifth sternite rectangular on anterior margin, posterior margin notched internally with pointed lateral endings (Fig. 21). Terminalia. Cercal plate with posterior margin rounded externally (Fig. 29). Surstyli with a notch, curved towards center of cercal plate (Fig. 29). Phallus long and straight, pregonite triangular containing 1 seta, distiphallus with denticles on membrane (Fig. 37).

Etymology: the specific name, stellaria, refers to the type-locality of the holotype (from the Latin: stellaria = stellar).
