Distribution. Sierra Leone, Guinea, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Nigeria, Cameroon, CAR, DRC (Bolívar 1908b; Gillon & Roy 1968; Miles 2021; Moulin et al. 2017; Roy 1963, 1964a, 1965a, 1968a, 1973b, 1975, 2018).

Remarks. Contrary to the previous species, this taxon prefers forests and heavily wooded savanna.
