Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from all other Oriental species of the genus by the following characters: upper mandibular tooth longer than lower one (Fig. 15), malar space 0.5 × as long as basal width of mandible, face yellow (Fig. 15), middle and hind coxae, and hind femur black, metasoma beyond T1 reddish (Figs 13, 17). This species is similar to the Palaearctic species E. taigensis Kasparyan 1985, but differs by slightly longer malar space (0.5 × as long as basal width of mandible), longer T1 (1.78 × as long as apically broad, Fig. 13), black coloration around clypeal fovea and clypeal groove (Fig. 15), and hind femur (Fig. 17).
Distribution: India (Kashmir).
