Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from all other Oriental species of the genus by the following characters: T1 with weak flanges over glymmas, coxae and hind legs entirely black, face black, clypeus yellow. This species is similar to the Palaearctic species E. brevicornis Kasparyan, 1985, but differs from the latter by longer malar space (0.5 × as long as basal width of mandible).
