Meniscium

Smith & Kessler (2017) treated 13 species of Meniscium for Bolivia. Since then, Fernandes & Salino (2020) published a taxonomic revision of the genus, which affects our treatment. We here list the affected species, including species new for the Bolivian flora, and a further species that we believe has been wrongly determined and cited for Bolivia by Fernandes & Salino (2020), and provide an updated key to the genus. In addition, the following species of Meniscium, not yet known from Bolivia, are known from adjacent countries (especially Brazil and Peru), and so might be expected from Bolivia: M. giganteum Mett., Meniscium lingulatum (C.Chr.) Pic. Serm., and M. macrophyllum Kunze.
