Myrmozercon antennophoroides (Berlese, 1903)
Myrmonyssus antennophoroides Berlese, 1903: 439 .
Diagnosis. Body length 850; dorsal shield rounded, but eroded posteriorly, with approximately 33 pairs of dorsal setae, soft cuticle posterior to dorsal shield hypertrichous; setae j6 as long as other mid-dorsal setae, well separated. Sternal shield entire, not eroded; setae st4 present. Genital shield with two pairs of setae. Anal shield small, indistinct. Peritreme short, reaching anterior margin of coxa III. Legs long, legs I about as long as body. Host: Camponotus aethiops (Latreille) .
Remarks. This species is unique in having two pairs of setae on the genital shield ( M. eidmanni is shown with two pairs of structures, but there is only one pair of setae).
