Simulium (Gomphostilbia) izuae Takaoka et al., 2013a: 1179 –1189 (Female, male, pupa and larva).
This species was described from females, males, pupae and larvae (Takaoka et al., 2013a). It is characterized in the pupa by the ventral paired filaments with a short stalk shorter than the common basal stalk.
The aquatic stages were collected from small streams at low to high elevations (159–1,405 m) in Cameron Highlands (Ya’cob et al., 2016b).
