Simulium (Gomphostilbia) duolongum Takaoka & Davies, 1995: 19 –24 (Female, male, pupa and larva).

This species was described from females, males, pupae and larvae (Takaoka and Davies, 1995). It is characterized in the pupa by the gill with eight slender filaments arranged as 3+3+2 filaments from dorsal to ventral, of which two ventral paired filaments are about twice or little more the length of the other six filaments.

This species is sporadically found in the mainland of Peninsular Malaysia and on Langkawi Island . The aquatic stages were found in medium-sized streams at low elevations.

This species was also recorded from Vietnam (Pham, 1999). The identity of this species should be confirmed based on adult females and males.
