Diagnosis. Medium-sized black flies with dense grayish yellow or grayish white pruinosity. Vertex of female about as wide as eye; gena about 0.4 of eye height, covered with black hairs; parafacial about as wide as 1st flagellomere at mid-height, the latter about twice as long as pedicel; pedicel with short black hairs; antenna brown to black; palpus black except reddish yellow apex. Thorax with black hairs; anatergite with fine hairs; 2 postsutural acrostichal setae; scutellum with 3 pairs of marginal setae. Basicosta dark brown; vein R1 with setulae on apical 1/ 3. Legs black; mid tibia with 1 anterodorsal and 1 ventral setae; hind tibia with 2 preapical dorsal setae. Abdomen with black hairs, covered with grayish yellow pruinosity; 3rd and 4th tergites each with 1–2 pairs of median discal setae.
