McClure 9496 was the only gathering cited in the protologue of the name Acronychia oligophlebia Merr. (Merrill, 1923) . However, the collecting number on the labels of the syntype specimens exist in A is 2942, while the herbarium number is Canton Christian College Herbarium 9496. Thus, the collecting number cited in the protologue is to be corrected.
