59. Tarenna tsangii Merr.

(Rubiaceae) in Lingnan Sci. J. 11(1): 59. 1932. TYPE:— CHINA. Hainan: Hongmao Shan, 23 June 1929, W. T. Tsang & H. Fung 357 (i.e. Lingnan University Herbarium 17891) (holotype: NY 00133404 image!; isotype: A 00094648 image!).

The name Tarenna tsangii Merr. was validly published with a gathering “ Tsang & Fung 17891 ” in NY designated as the type (Merrill, 1932). However, the collecting number on the lable of the holotype specimen is 357, while its herbarium number is Lingnan University Herbarium 17891. Therefore, the erroneous collecting number in the designation of type is to be corrected.
