Diagnosis. Similar to H. davidi and H. sericatus in external characters. It differs from H. davidi in having impunctate elytral striae and from H. sericatus in having shiny dorsum, glabrous elytra (at most occasionally with a few very fine setae on two lateral intervals), more convex elytral intervals, protibia with two ventroapical spines in a transverse row, and metafemur with three or four setigerous pores along posterior margin. In addition, H. pseudohauserianus has mesotarsomere 1 of male with adhesive vestiture underneath apically and internal sac of median lobe of aedeagus (Figs 52–59) usually with several spiny patches medially and apically, rarely without any sclerotized elements. Body length 9.2–11.6 mm.
Distribution. Southwestern China: Yunnan, southern Sichuan. The species is recorded from Sichuan for the first time.
Remarks. The species is rather variable in armature of internal sac of the aedeagus, even among specimens from one locality (Figs 56–59).
