Specimen examined. No specimens of L. vittatus were seen from the Korean fauna in this study.

Reference species. Limoniscus vittatus (Candeze, 1873): male, Miyatsuma-kyo, Mie-Ken, Honshu, Japan. 28. IV. 1990. H. Kawase, DNA 2513; female, Tsukdeshiratori, Shinshiro, Aichi-ken, Honshu, Japan. 12. V. 2004. H. Ôhira leg, DNA 2514. All specimens were identified by Dr. H. Ôhira.

Remarks. Limoniscus vittatus is widely and commonly occurring species from Japan to Hong Kong. We found the first Korean record of the species by Kishii (1987), but it did not provide specimen information. No specimens of L. vittatus were found in the present study.
