Type species: Xizicus (Xizicus) fascipes (Bey-Bienko, 1955) .

Generic diagnosis. Body small. Fastigium verticis conical, apex rounded, with a dorsal longitudinal furrow in the midline. Pronotum short, with humeral sinus. Wings developed, surpassing apices of hind femora; hind wings longer than tegmina. All femora without spines on ventral surfaces, fore tibial tympana open on both sides. Male tenth abdominal tergite with a pair of small to medium posterior processes or sometimes absent; cercus with lobe or branch in most species; epiproct well developed, genitalia membranous or feebly sclerotized. Ovipositor long and straight.
