Homoneura (Neohomoneura) jianfengensis Yang, Hu & Zhu, 2002: 781 . Type locality: Hainan (Jianfengling National Nature Reserve).
Diagnosis. Apical spots on R2+3, R4+5 and M1+2 confluent (or apical spot on R4+5 slightly separated from that on R2+3) and forming a wide transverse band, extending to extreme vein tip; two hyaline triangular marks on costa between apical spots on R2+3, R4+5 and M1+2 very distinct (Fig. 3). Abdomen without any spots.

Homoneura nadaensis Yang, Hu & Zhu, 2002: 782 . Type locality: Hainan (Nada).
Diagnosis. Apical spots on R2+3, R4+5 and M1+2 isolated (or spot on R4+5 close to that on R2+3); a spot constricted at middle on dm-cu. Surstylus with narrowed apex strongly curved backward; hypandrium U-shaped; aedeagal apodeme very short.
Description. MALE. Body length 5.0– 5.5 mm, wing length 5.4–5.6 mm. FEMALE. Body length 4.8–5.7 mm, wing length 5.1–5.4 mm.
Head yellowish to brownish yellow. Frons longer than wide and parallel–sided, with 2 brown stripes extending to ocellar triangle; ocellar triangle brownish; oc developed, shorter than anteriormost or; gena about 1/6 height of eye. Antenna yellow, 1st flagellomere 1.5–1.8 times as long as wide; arista brown except yellowish base, with longest hairs as long as width of 1st flagellomere. Proboscis yellow, with yellowish hairs and slightly dark hairs; palpus yellow, with dark hairs.
Thorax yellowish to brownish yellow. Mesoscutum with 0+3 dc (anteriormost dc clearly behind transverse scutal suture), acr in 10 somewhat irregular rows, uniformly short hair–like; prsc slightly longer than 1st post–sutural dc. Legs yellow; tarsomeres 2–5 brownish yellow. Fore femur with 5 strong pv, 8–10 pd, and ctenidium with 11–13 short bristles; fore tibia with 1 long preapical ad and 1 short apv. Mid femur with 5–6 a and 1 app; mid tibia with 1 strong preapical ad, 7 short pd and 3 strong apv. Hind femur with a row of weak av (only 2–3 apical bristles distinct) and 1 preapical ad; hind tibia with 1 weak preapical ad and 1 short av; 1st tarsomere with rows of short and dense v. Wing (Figs. 4–5) slightly tinged yellowish, apical spots on R2+3, R4+5 and M1+2 isolated or apical spot on R4+5 close to that on R2+3; spot on dm-cu constricted at middle; subcostal cell hyaline; costa with 2nd (between R1 and R2+3), 3rd (between R2+3 and R4+5) and 4th (between R4+5 and M1+2) sections in proportion of 2.9: 0.7: 0.5; r-m before middle of discal cell; ultimate and penultimate sections of M1+ 2 in proportion of 1.8: 2.5; ultimate section of CuA1 about 1/10 of penultimate. Halter yellow.
Abdomen yellowish to brownish yellow. Male genitalia (Figs. 16–20): protandrium semicircular with 2–3 hairs around spiracle; surstylus moderately long with narrowed apex strongly curved backward in lateral view; hypandrium U–shaped, gonopod long and columnar; aedeagal apodeme very short; aedeagus deeply incised with apico-lateral lobes convergent, and with two pairs of lateral and ventral spines.

Remarks. The species is supplemented by male’s characters. Examined specimens from two localities show the difference in body colors and wing spots as shown in Figs. 4–5.
