Measurements. BL: 5.8–6.5 mm, FL: 2.9–3.2 mm. HW: 1.06–1.12 mm, PL: 0.88–0.98 mm, PW: 0.83–0.94 mm, EL: 1.31–1.44 mm, EW: 1.18–1.41 mm, SL: 1.14–1.28 mm. Head 0.77–0.91 times as wide as elytra; Pronotum 1.03–1.08 times as long as wide; Elytra 1.00–1.11 times as long as wide.
Distribution. China (Hong Kong, Fujian, Zhejiang, Hubei, Shaanxi). New to Zhejiang.
Remarks. The species can be usually collected with D. freyi from the same localities, and it differs from the latter by smaller and denser punctaion of head, legs blackish and metatarsomere IV simple.
