The species was collected in the months of January, March, April, May, October, November and December.
NOMENCLATURAL REMARKS.
The species Anomala subvittata Ohaus, 1925 was described based on specimens from Tanzania and is currently treated as a valid species. However, Anomala subvittata Ohaus, 1925 is a junior homonym of the Asian Anomala subvittata Reitter, 1903 . The rejected primary junior homonym has no known available and potentially valid synonyms and is replaced by the new substitute name Anomala friedrichi following ICZN (1999).
Anomala subvittata Reitter, 1903 was described from a single female specimen (Reitter, 1903); according to V. G. Bezborodov and A. Legalov (pers. comm., February 2024), the type might not be correctly labelled and cannot be found in Reitter’s collection in HNHM.
