Afrophaloria sp.

I separate here female specimens originating from the Central African Republic, Gabon and the Congo, which all present a very long ovipositor, longer than TIII and than FIII (except in the female from Odzala, see measurements below), a subgenital plate (Fig. 4 A–E) and a copulatory papilla more deeply emarginate than in the other species of Afrophaloria Desutter-Grandcolas, n. gen. here described (Fig. 4 F–I). They are globally lightly coloured (head, pronotum, legs); their tergites are brown, more or less marked with dark (last tergites darker, first tergites lighter with their posterior margins bordered by dark brown, planely or as a line of spots, this coloration being highly variable). No corresponding males have been found.

Variation. The female from Ipassa has a very small copulatory papilla, compared to other females (Fig. 4 G).
