Subfamily Paragryllinae Desutter, 1987

Type genus. Paragryllus Guérin-Méneville, 1844 .

Remark. Paragryllodes has long been classified in the tribe Endacustini Gorochov, 1986 within the " Phalangopsinae subfamily group", a tribe clearly not monophyletic as then defined (Desutter-Grandcolas 2002). With molecular evidence, Paragryllodes comes within the subfamily Paragryllinae, which monophyly is supported provided a larger definition than currently accepted is considered (see Chintauan-Marquier et al. 2013, 2015; Desutter-Grandcolas et al. submit.).
