Deniya bantimurungica (Heinrich, 1934)

Material. Indonesia: C Sulawesi, Lore Lindu N.P., Marena Shelter, 600 m, 1 ♀ 14–17.xii.1985, leg. J. van Tol & J. Krikken (Leiden) ; Malaysia: SE Sabah, nr Danum Valley Field C, c 150 m, Mal. trap 10, 1 ♀ 15–19.iii.1987, leg. C. van Achterberg (Leiden) .

Remarks. ♀. Body length 12 mm. Flagellum with 35 flagellomeres, slightly lanceolate; 1 st flagellomeres 5.0 × longer than wide; widest flagellomere 1.2 × wider than long. Notaulus on frontal 0.6 of mesoscutum. Mesoscutum with fine very sparse punctures and with coarse rugae apico-medially. Scutellum moderately elevated, slightly wider than long, with complete carina laterally and apically. Area superomedia heart-shaped; about as long as wide; costula reaching at 7/10 of its length. Postpetiole moderately widened, densely punctate; median field not separated. 2 nd tergite 1.1 × longer than wide. Gastrocoelus impressed, almost smooth. Thyridium large, transverse, 2.0 × wider than the interval between thyridia.

Colour. As described by Heinrich (1934: 164–165), but flagellomeres 5–17 ivory; 1 st to 3 rd tergites red, with diffuse yellow apical bands; 4 th to 7 th tergites black; 4 th tergite with triangular posterolateral cream-yellow stripes; 5 th to 7 th tergites largely ivory; hind femur apically and hind tibia basally and apically narrowly black; hind tarsus brown.

Distribution. Known from Sulawesi, new record for Borneo.
