The previously confused genera Anhelita, Lemurisintor and Sintor can be distinguished using the morphological characters given in the following key:

1 Rostrum at least as long as wide, but usually much longer than wide, lateral margins of rostrum expanded apically........ 2

- Rostrum approximately twice as wide as long, lateral margins of rostrum almost parallel, widest in midline of rostrum, then slightly narrowed apically (Figs 72–83)......................................................... Lemurisintor

2 Tarsomere 1 conspicuously long, as long as length of other tarsomeres combined. Claws without teeth. Antennae of males shorter, not extending beyond posterior margin of pronotum. Pronotum as wide as long or only slightly transverse, posterior margin of pronotum more or less as wide as anterior margin (Figs 1–28).................................. Anhelita

- Tarsomere 1 shorter than length of other tarsomeres combined. Claws with teeth. Antennae of males longer, extending well beyond posterior margin of pronotum. Pronotum distinctly transverse, posterior margin of pronotum at least 1.3x as wide as anterior margin (Figs 29–71)....................................................................... Sintor
