Material examined. New Caledonia. Koumac, channel, lagoon, 55–60 m, 7 Oct. 1993, 1 male CL 5.3 mm, 1 ovig. female CL 5.0 mm. Touho Channel, lagoon, 56 m, 7 Sep. 1993, 1 female CL 2.6 mm.
Remarks. The specimens examined agree well with the original description of Lissoporcellana miyakei by Haig (1981b).
Distribution. Palau, Philippine Islands, Kei Islands, west and east coasts of Australia; occurred at depths of 5–122 m, on sand and coral substrates and in association with soft corals and gorgonians (Haig 1981). The specimens examined were collected at depths of 55–60 m in New Caledonia.
