Agononida schroederi was previously reported as Munida schroederi (see Baba et al. 2008). Its known range is from the Caribbean to northern Cuba in depths of 275 to 494 m (Chace 1942; Baba et al. 2008). Only four males and three non-ovigerous females were observed in collections, from both the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean, in depths of 198 to 548 m. These specimens were collected in February, July, August, and December.
