The four species of the “ corbulo group” are characterized by the following characters: males with an oval androco- nial patch in VFW in CuA 2 –2A; DHW with a tuft of long hair–like scales in Sc+R 1 –Rs; DHW with an oval patch under the tuft of androconial scales; tegumen with two pairs of lateral apophysis; harpe with distal margin elongated and rounded, with serrated margin and dorsal process in a spine–like projection curved inwards; lamella postvagi- nalis rectangular, bifid, distal margin truncated; strongly sclerotized area proximally of corpus bursae.
