Tanystylum conirostre (Dohrn, 1881)

This species, although originally described from the Gulf of Naples, was lumped for a long time with the following taxon. In the eastern Mediterranean it is, as shown also in our samples, the more often collected species of the two (see also the list of previous records above). This is confirmed by Arnaud (1976).
