Kyrtalus Van Duzee, 1929

Kyrtalus Van Duzee, 1929: 91–92 (original description). Type species: Kyrtalus mackiei Van Duzee, 1929, by original description.

Systematic placement. Van Duzee (1929) described a nominotypical genus Kyrtalus Van Duzee, 1929 for K. mackiei Van Duzee, 1929 from Thailand, and compared it to Paramecocoris sensu Stål, which corresponds to Delagorguella (Myrocheini). Van Duzee (1929) mentioned in the original description mesosternum broadly sulcate and all femora with a few small teeth below near apex, characters that support its placement in Myrocheini (cf. Zahid 2006, Kment & Garbelotto 2016, Rider et al. 2018). We transfer here Kyrtalus to Myrocheini.
