Diagnosis. Forewing length is 13–14.5 mm in ♂ and 16–17 mm in ♀. Externally, the species (Figs. 5–8) differs from other members of the B. nubifascia species-group (Figs. 9–16) by its less contrast and diffuse forewing pattern and intensive ochreous-yellow hindwings. The male genitalia (Fig. 34) are close to those of B. clandestina (Fig. 35), but differ by the unilobe distal costal process, the much narrower ventral costal process, the narrower and longer distal saccular process, presence of numerous thorns on aedeagus carinal plate, a larger number of cornuti in the subbasal ventral diverticulum, the much larger lateral cornuti, and absence of a long distal cornutus. The female genitalia (Fig. 48) differ clearly from those of all other congeners (Figs 49–54) by the long and relatively narrow ductus bursae and the very large lateral sclerotized lobes of corpus bursae.

Distribution. The species is widespread in the Himalayan Region: Pakistan (Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Kashmir), Nepal, NW, N and E India (Punjab, Himachal Pradesh, north of West Bengal, Sikkim).
