Barsura lineata (Fang, 1993), comb. nov.

(Figs. 15–16, 38)

Asura lineata Fang, 1993, Sinozoologia 10: 355, 358, 361, fig. 1 (Type locality: “ Tianping Mountain, Sangzhi, Hunan Province ”).

= Asura disnubifascia Fang, 2000, Fauna Sinica. Insecta 19: 115, an unnecessary replacement name for Asura lineata Fang, 1993, syn. nov.

Type material examined. Photographs of the holotype ♂ (Fig. 15), 1.VI.1981, Tianping Mountain, Sangzhi, Hunan Province (in Chinese), Holotype, Asura disnubifascia Fang, IOZ(E)208783, S.[lide] No. 26. (Coll. IZCAS).

Additional material examined. 1 ♂, China, Guangdong, Shaoguan, Nanling [ Mts], 900–1400 m, 16– 20.V.2009, Y. Kishida, Wang M. [leg.], slide AV 2360m Volynkin (Coll. SZMN).

Diagnosis. Forewing length is 15–15.5 mm in males. The species well differs from the other congeners by its pale yellow forewing ground color and the reduced subterminal cuneal connected shadows which are presented as a row of long blackish-brown strokes on veins and the indistinct suffusion between veins. The male genital capsule is similar to B. obscura sp. nov., but differs by the narrower distal costal process and the narrower distal lobe of valva; the vesica is broadest in the genus, the carinal plate has numerous long needle-like thorns and is extended to the ventral basal diverticulum, which is absent in other specie of the species-group, the ventral subbasal diverticulum small, without cornuti; there are the additional lateral field of small cornuti and the trigonal broad distal cornutus situated laterally. Female genitalia are unknown.

Distribution. China: Hunan, Sichuan (Fang 2000), Guangdong.

Remarks. 1. Fang (2000) introduced the name Asura disnubifascia as replacement for Asura lineata Fang, 1993 referring to its homonymy with ' Asura lineata Roepke, 1944 '. Meanwhile there is no taxon described by Roepke as Asura lineata, but on page 87 (Roepke, 1944 [1946]) mentioned by Fang as a page containing a description of ' Asura lineata Roepke, 1944 ' the taxa ' Asura lineata lineata Walk. ' and ' Asura lineata calligenioides Sn. ' are mentioned, and Walker's authorship of the nominate subspecies is mentioned by Roepke. The current generic combinations of these two taxa are Barsine lineatus lineatus (Walker, 1855) and Barsine lineatus calligenioides (Snellen, 1879) (Holloway 2001), and the original combination of the nominate subspecies is Ammatho lineatus therefore at present there is no primary or secondary homonymy for lineatus Walker and lineata Fang, the replacement name for Asura lineata Fang, 1993 is unnecessary and the name lineata Fang is restored here as valid. 2. The genitalia slide of the holotype is lost (Wu Chunsheng, pers. comm.).
