Type species Maningrida arnhemensis sp. nov.

Etymology: Maningrida, the township near the type locality in Arnhem Land (Northern Territory, Australia). Diagnosis: As for family

Remarks: Maningrida gen. nov. is a monotypic but distinct genus. Although only one species is currently recognised, further sampling from the estuaries and coastal mudflats of northern Australia and the central Indo-west Pacific may reveal further taxa.
