DESCRIPTION. Langton & Cranston (1991, Fig. 1 d; Fig. 3b) and Rossaro & Prato (1991, Fig. 9, 10, 11, 12; sub rachelae) gave descriptions of the species. Thoracic horn 216­310 m long, 43 m wide, dark, with two enlargements in its median and basal part, narrowed in its apical part. Points of posterior band of TIII obviously smaller than those of anterior, median and apical bands. Points not extended on tergites, only an expanded area of very small points in antero­lateral corners is present. Points very reduced on SII­IV. Pedes spurii A present on S IV­VI, reduced on S VII. Anal lobes without taeniate extensions, but a lateral fringe of small extensions may be present. Anal macrosetae 180­215 m long, anal lobes 390­440 m long, 375­390 m wide.
