Notes. Xantholinus phenicius Coiffait, 1970 [cited from Greece, Corfu, Rhodes (Bordoni 1975, 1976) and from Cyprus, Lebanon, Syria and Turkey (Herman 2001)] has been recently synonymized with X. rufipennis (Bordoni 2007a) .

Distribution. Xantholinus rufipennis was cited from Europe, Turkey, Syria, Lebanon and Israel (Herman 2001). It is new for Crete.
