Taxonomic note. Chen (1982, 1999) recorded M. ceylonica Hampson, 1903 from Hainan and Guangdong, Southern China.After a detailed comparison, we concluded that M. ceylonica sensu Chen (1982, 1999) is an unknown species differs from the true ceylonica by the smaller size and the larger discal spot on hindwing upperside, pending future study. Therefore this species is deleted from the current list.
