Material examined. SAMC-A22122.

Identification. Test hemispherical. Large tubercles reported to be outside pore-pairs of distal oral ambulacra. Madreporite divided into 3–4 parts, but this seems to be an individual variation (Mortensen, 1935).

Global maximum size. Maximum test diameter 125 mm.

Global distribution. Portugal to West Africa, also reported from the West coast region of South Africa (Filander & Griffiths 2014); at 850–2750 m depth (Schultz, 2011).

Remarks. Record based on a single identified sample from the Iziko South African Museum.
