Amblopusa pacifica (Sawada, 1991)

[Japanese name: Nokoba-umi-hanekakushi]

Boreorhadinus pacificus Sawada, 1991: 147 (original description; type locality: Akkeshi, east Hokkaido, Japan). Amblopusa “pacificus ”: Ahn & Ashe, 1995: 143 (as a junior synonym of A. brevipes).

Material examined. Japan: Hokkaidô: 2 males, 3 females, 5 unsexed, Betsukai-chô, Odaitô, 23. VII. 2020, Y. Tasaku (cYT); 1 male, 1 female, 25 unsexed, Akkeshi-chô, Akkeshi-ko, 3. VIII. 2022, D. Sumikawa & Y. Tasaku (KUM, cYT) ; 15 unsexed, Wakkainai-shi, Souya-mura, Higashiura, 20. IV. 2022, D. Sumikawa (cYT) ; 2 unsexed, Nemuro-shi, Shunkunitai, 11. IX. 1999, M. Maruyama (KUM) .

Diagnosis. This species can be distinguished from other Amblopusa species by the combination of the following characteristics: body small (about 2.5 mm long); pronotum rather flattened with anterolateral margin angular (Fig. 17B); median lobe of aedeagus with apical lobe slightly swollen near apex in lateral view (Fig. 18C).

Distribution. Japan: eastern Hokkaidô (Fig. 26A).
