Genus Megaodynerus Gusenleitner, 2012

Megaodynerus Gusenleitner, 2012: 1048, genus.

Type species Megaodynerus maximus Gusenleitner, 2012, by original designation.

Diagnosis. This genus is related to the genus Symmorphus, sharing with it the following characters: elongate body and dorsal surface of T1 with a longitudinal furrow on the horizontal area. It can be separated from the related genus by the following character combination: larger body (known species are more than 16 mm), clypeus (Fig. 78) broad, and convex at basal half, apical margin slightly emarginated, T1 (Fig. 83) basally without a transverse raised carina, and broad part of S1 with strong horizontal striae (Fig. 84).
