Sergentomyia (Neophlebotomus) gemmea Lewis & Jeffery
Se. (Neo.) gemmea is a new country record for India. Holotype female was recorded from the Gunong Besout Forest Reserve, West Malaysia (Knudsen et al. 1979). Paratypes were collected from swampy forest canopy, 8.5 m above ground. This species was also reported from Thailand (Apiwathnasorn et al. 1989; Polseela et al. 2011; Sukra et al. 2012). During the survey, 52 specimens (19 males and 33 females) of Se. (Neo.) gemmea were collected.
