Biological aspects: The examined specimens have been collected on slow flowing areas of a 2nd order stream with presence of marginal vegetation.

Comments: Part of the specimens recorded as H. argentina by Dias-Silva et al. (2010) were misidentified and correspond to those mentioned below. They were the first representatives of H. comata found in Brazil, on the Cerrado biome (Fig. 7). The species was later recorded from the Amazon biome by Moreira and Campos (2012).
