Microvelia argentata Nieser & Alkins-Koo

Distribution in Brazil: MT!

Biological aspects: A female of this species has been collected on a 2nd order portion of a stream with clear water and well-preserved riparian vegetation. The substrate of the stream is composed by sand on riffles and leaf litter on pools.

Comments: This species had been so far recorded from the type-locality in Trinidad & Tobago and northern Argentina, and is herein recorded for the first time from Brazil (Fig. 9).
