Rhagovelia sooretama Moreira, Nessimian & Rúdio

Distribution in Brazil: MT!, MG, ES, RJ, PR.

Biological aspects: Three specimens have been collected on the same second order stream. The substrate was composed of thin gravel in erosional areas and leaf litter on depositional areas, and the stream had narrow riparian vegetation in only one of the margins. There were signs of cattle on the ground and on the stream.

Comments: This recently described species was previously known from the Southeast and South Brazilian macrorregions, being herein recorded for the first time from the Central-West in an area of Cerrado -Amazon transition (Fig. 17).
