COMMENT: Considered a subspecies of picticaudata by Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951:388. China, S. Ordos Desert was erroneously given as type locality by Ellerman and Morrison-Scott, 1951, and followed by Gromov and Baranova, 1981.
