Type material. Paratype: 1 male, Sri Lanka: Candy District, Peradeniya, Malaise trap at Botanical Gardens, 26– 27 Mar. 1971, P. & P. Spanger leg. (NHMB).

Additional material. Sri Lanka: 1 male, Trincomalee District, Trincomalee, China bay, 0–30 m, Malaise trap, 8–11 Oct. 1977, K.V. Krombein, P.B. Karunaratne, P. Fernando, T. Wijesinhe, M. Jayaweera leg. (NHMB).

Diagnosis. Antennomeres 1–2 yellow to light brown, 3–11 dark brown. Penultimate abdominal tergum basally straight, furnished with 2 small rounded tubercles, longitudinal apertures between terminal and penultimate terga slender, U-shaped, longitudinal projections of penultimate tergum narrow. Male genitalia with V-shaped phallobase.

Description. Body length 5.0 mm, humeral width 2.05 mm. Antennomeres 1–2 yellow to light brown, 3–11 dark brown. Distance between eyes 1.8× longer than eye diameter. Median antennomeres with lamellae about 3× longer than antennomere body (Fig. 11). Each elytron about 3.4× longer than wide at humeri. Basal portion of penultimate abdominal tergum straight (Fig. 9), base provided with 2 small rounded tubercles laterally, elongate lateral projections widest in distal 1/6, apices rounded and slightly deflected, apertures between terminal tergum and lateral projections of penultimate tergum slender. Terminal tergum about 1/6 shorter than lateral projections of penultimate tergum, its apex gently hooked, provided with median thorn distally. Male genitalia (Figs 5, 6) with sharply V-shaped phallobase, paramerae robust, apices partly draped over phallus, truncated, with oblique edge distally. Phallus broadly emarginate distally.
