Atopsyche (Atopsaura) atahuallpa Schmid, 1989

New record. VENEZUELA: Estado Bolivar: Río Oso in El Oso Camp — Auyán Tepui plateau, 9.i.2010, 1,733 m a.s.l., N5°47'1.4", W62°32'12.5", 1 male (ref. number: 89); Stream above Pozo Capuchino —Churí Tepui plateau, Chimantá massif, 15.i.2009, ca 2,200 m a.s.l., Derka, leg., 1L (ref. number: 90); Spring below waterfall Río Olinka —Churí Tepui plateau, Chimantá massif, 20.i.2009, ca 2,300 m a.s.l., Derka, leg., 1L (ref. number: 91).

Remarks. This species is known only from the holotype (Schmid 1989; Holzenthal & Cressa 2002), and its type locality is situated on Ptari Tepui, 1,800 m. The current new record extends the known distribution of this species to Auyán and Churí Tepuis, which are situated around 50 and 70 km from Ptari Tepui, respectively.

Tegulae in A. atahuallpa are mushroom-shaped, each with only shorter setae covering the anterior half (Fig. 9 B).
