Figs 117–118

Methoca (sic!) tricha Strand, 1913: 214 . Orig. desig. Type locality: Liukwei, Kaohsiung.

Methocha tricha: Lin, 1966: 183, 199.

Type material. Holotype, ♂, Sokutsu, 7.vii.1968, collector unknown. [SDEI]. The male holotype deposited in the Senckenberg Deutsches Entomologisches Institut (SDEI, German Entomological Institute). The holotype is not examined directly, but the photo was examined.

Distribution. Southern Taiwan.

Remarks. This species shows an elongate pronotum and strongly flattened flagellum. These are diagnostic characters that define the genus Karlissa (Krombein, 1979; 1982), therefore a new combination proposed. Karlissa was a monotypic genus established by Krombein (1979) for the Ceylonese species, Methoca (sic!) rugosa (Cameron, 1897) . Karlissa tricha is the second species placed in Karlissa .
