Diagnostic characters. Antenna 15-segmented, reaching base of wing if bent backward; each flagellomere except first one with enlargement at base and apex (Fig. 1). Prescutum and presutural scutum with four stripes (Fig. 2). Costal and subcostal cells yellowish-brown (Fig. 3). Base of tergite 9 and sternite 9 fused into a continuous ring (Fig. 4). Posterior margin of tergal saucer with a U-shaped median notch; anterior margin with a rectangular plate which has blackened and elevated saucer (Fig. 5). Gonocoxite elongated apically into a short, bifid lobe (Fig. 6).
Clasper of gonostylus pistol-shaped; beak with a sclerotized and obtuse apex; margin covered with long bristles dorso-laterally; concavity near basal lobe with bristles in center part (Fig. 7).
Elevation range in China. Adults were collected at altitudes ranging from 1100 m to 1700 m.
Period of activity. Adults were collected only in July.
Known distribution. China (Xinjiang), Japan (Hokkaido), Kazakhstan (east), Russia.
Remark. This is the first report of this species from China.
