Specimens examined. JAPAN (BMNH): 2 apterous viviparae and 3 nymphs, Kyoto (Mt. Kibune), on Bambusa sp., 6.viii.1980 (Blackman RL); 3 apterous viviparae and 6 soldiers, Ljuin (Kagoshima Pref.), on Sasa sp., 24.iv.1973 (Aoki S).
Distribution. China (Taiwan), Japan, Korea (Tao, 1990).
Biology. Its host plants are Bambusa omeiensis (Tao, 1990), Sasa sp., and other species in Bambusa (Poaceae) .
Remarks. No specimens from China were checked in this study. The distribution information is from Tao (1990). The morphological features in keys are based on the specimens from Japan in BMNH, which the corresponding author examined in 2004.
