Type species. Scoliquadracus longipetiolatus n. sp.
Etymology. Scolo-, Greek, meaning branch, and - quadracus, from the generic name Quadracus Keifer, to which the new genus is most similar.
Note. This new genus in the Rhyncaphytoptinae is similar to Quadracus Keifer 1944, but can be differentiated by the dorsal opisthosoma with two furrows and dorsal opisthosomal median and submedian ridges bearing finger-like projections. In Quadracus Keifer, dorsal annuli are broad centrally and finger-like projections are absent.
