Lectotype. BMNH, sex? [‘‘Chakrata Dist., Konain, 80009’’ / ‘‘ Dr. Cameron, 24–30.V.22’’ / ‘‘ T. indicus Cam., TYPE’’ / ‘‘M. Cameron Bequest. B.M. 1955– 147’’ / ‘‘Lectotype’’ (white disc with purple border) / ‘‘LECTOTYPE, Tinotus indicus Cameron, desig. R. S. Hanley 2000’’] (here designated). Lectotype designation is justified under article 74.1.1 of the ICZN (1999) in order to fix the status of this specimen as the sole name­bearing type of this species.

Type Locality. INDIA: Uttar Pradesh, Chakrata Dist., Konain, 8,000 ft.
