Lathrolestes nigronitens sp. nov.

Diagnosis. This species differ from the closely related L. luteolator by smaller size, small petiolate areolet; shorter head, narrowed behind the eyes (Fig. 32); distinctly punctate flat face (Fig. 25); smooth tergites of metasoma (Fig. 28). Body mostly dark (Fig. 27).

Description. Female. Body length 4 mm. Antenna with 26–29 flagellomeres. Scape 0.56 × as long as wide. Head narrowed behind the eyes (Fig. 32), matt. Maximum length of temple 0.63X transverse eye diameter; minimum length of temple 0.53 ×. Face as wide as height of eye; flat, medially bulging, with rare distinct punctures (Fig. 25). Clypeus not separate from face; at apex projecting anteriorly; apical margin of clypeus moderately obtuse. Clypeal foveae small. Malar space 0.5 × basal mandible width. Occipital carina complete, not interrupted above. Lower mandible tooth longer than upper.

Notaulus defined at base. Mesopleuron and mesonotum with rare distinct punctures (Fig. 31). Claws pecinate at base. Fore wing with areolet petiolate, small. Radius intercepting stigma at its middle (Fig. 29). Nervellus intercepted below middle. Nervulus postfurcal. Propodeal carinae complete (Fig. 26).

Metasoma rather shining, smooth. First metasomal tergite 0.7 × as long as apically wide; with median longitudinal impression; bordered by lateral longitudinal carinae; median longitudinal carinae defined beyond the middle of tergite. Ovipositor stout at base, with shallow notch (Fig. 30).

Color. Female. Body black (Fig. 27); Orbits, malar space, mandibles, tegulae, legs except hind tibia and tarsus reddish-yellow (Figs 25, 27, 32).

Variation: Some individuals with more yellow-reddish coloration

Distribution: Far East of Russia.

Etymology: The species epithet, nigronitens, refers to the coloration and the surface of body.
